If you are to make just one purchase this season is has to be the blanket cape -the must have of AW14. Can't justify the price of an initialed Burberry number like the likes of Olivia Palermo? Head to Topshop. The array of textures, patterns and fastenings will have you weak at the knees.

If you are worrying about easing yourself into the trend I'd suggest wearing black. Throw on your favourite pair of skinnies and long sleeved tee and you are garunteed to nail it!

What a strange contrast we've had with the weather recently. I've gone from swaning around in my swing dress and sliders jacketless to reaching for every chunky knit and high leg boot I can find! I have to say though, I do prefer dressing for winter. I'm all about layering! Oversized jumpers and flippy skirts are my uniform at the moment, toughened up with a knee high boot less-ens (is that even a word?) the amount skin on show, something I'm always worried about! 

Never worn a boot higher than an ankle boot? Me either until I recieved these gorgeous boots from Daniel Footwear. Start with either a black or tan and definitly opt for a flat style to ease you into the trend.

This look is definitly something I'm going to be taking to LFW!

I have to admit, I don't actually own anything navy. Strange huh? I love the combination of navy and black together, it's definitely not just a work thang! I popped on my favourite Topshop Boutique leather jacket over this gorgeous cropped top jumpsuit from Lavish Alice, these black patent loafers are my go-to at the moment, I love how masculine they make any outfit. From a swing dress to a mini, I can tell these are coming into Autumn with me.

Boy, do I love an all white outfit. (Staying away from any kind of food is a must to maintain a white pristine outfit.) These wide leg trousers are a firm favourite of mine, whilst making my feet look insanely tanned! I love pairing a basic silk cami with these trousers to give of a chic monochrome feel. I think the reflective lens of the sunglasses paired with the black leather shopper polishes this outfit off perfectly.
