SHOP MY HOME WISHLIST

IS IT PAY DAY YET?

It is Payday, hooray! From now on I'm going to start bringing to you a pay day wish list on the last Friday on every month. You're welcome. As next month is Black Friday & Cyber Monday I thought I'd start these guides early so you know what to expect from next month. Here is an example of what I did last year. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are important dates to keep in your diary (27th and 30th November) as this is when all the big sales start before Christmas. Yes I did say Christmas..

If there is anything you'd like to see me put together for next month be it a guide guide for your boyfriend, sister, or just little for yourself (my kind of thinking) then do let me know below as I want to make shopping easier for you guys!

Happy Friday!

FINDING YOUR STATEMENT COAT WITH TOPSHOP

What I'm Wearing
Mules

With Autumn's chill already upon us, finding that statement coat is crucial. What I look for when investing into a piece of outerwear is; practicality, design and most of all variability. I.E will it suit all occasions? Will it take me from day to night? Because lets face it, the unplanned nights are always the best.

Forever lacking in my wardrobe has been a coat of the faux fur kind. To be truly honest they've never interested me, up until now I've been blinded by the tailored, mannish and belted variety. (Stuck in a rut you might call it.) Once you get to know your own style it's hard to stray from it.

This Topshop compact faux fur coat is beautifully snug (perfect for those bonfire nights, swapping fireworks for mauled wine.) it's both slouchy and oversized and the silhouette is just well, me. I opted for a size 10 if you're wondering, I like my outerwear one size bigger to allow room for cableknit knitwear and chunky roll necks.

LAYERING ALL BLACK

What I'm Wearing:

How to wear all black? It's simple really, it's all about how you layer; mixing textures and shapes to take a basic black outfit into something amazing. I wore this outfit to the Nicholas Kirkwood presentation on my last day in Paris, the Arc de Triumph made the most incredible backdrop to photograph against.

Unfortunately the dress/jacket dress is out of stock online, but this jacket is almost identical. To give the jacket dimension I added these cropped jersey flares underneath. (Plus it was pretty cold as we entered the start of October!)

I couldn't visit Paris without taking Mila, my Sophia Webster heels with me. I really don't get to wear them enough so Paris Fashion Week was a great excuse to pack them into my case. If you're looking for a budget friendly option then these public desire laser cut heels are identical with a sightly higher heel.

MILITARY STYLE BLAZER

What I'm Wearing:
Blazer (Similar here and here)

I know what you're thinking. Is her military blazer Balmain? Pft I wish! I actually picked this jacket up from Supertrash at ASOS. Sadly it is now out of stock which I'm not surprised about because it is incredible. My ever growing collection of jackets and coats has actually lacked a staple piece so I'm glad I took the plunge and ordered it in time for Paris. Good news for you guys is that I found two identical blazers for under £45 which you can find here and here.

I have alot of love for cropped denim if you didn't know already (which you can see here.) Next up on my cropped list were these cropped flares trousers which were only a meer £25. FYI They are a scuba-like material so they're thinner than a denim but thicker than a legging. The perfect accompaniment for the blazer making this outfit super chic for Paris.

Finished off with a trusty pair of white kicks and my *cough* Chloe bag.. on a budget. Whilst we're on the subject of budgets I've finally found a dupe for the Celine shadow sunglasses which you can shop here for £17.99!

THE PERFECT WINTER OUTFIT WITH H&M

When H&M come to you with their new Winter Fashion Campaign firstly you find out when it's available to buy, and secondly you decide which pieces you're going to purchase first! (The collection has just dropped, and I'm definitely going to get my mitts on the two-tone cape which is only £14.99!)

The campaign is inspired by a rock-chick-model look as you can tell by the play on the textures, particularly the leathers and suede's. My absolute must haves for the collection are the rustic style knitwear as well as the feminine blouses and long line dresses. How gorgeous is the maxi!? I'd suggest wearing it with a pair of biker boots and throwing on a leather jacket for a perfect rock-chick look. On trend and functional! To make the most of your new season purchases try pairing the two-tone cape like above with a pair of slashed jeans. Perfect for making the transition into Winter.

Which piece is first on your to-buy list?

CREATING STYLEBOOKS WITH FASHIOLA

Creating collage's is something I love to do, it's the perfect way to organise an array of clothes into an outfit. I find this particularly useful during large events such as Fashion Week, a PR event or just when I want to splurge on an expensive item. ( I like to plan out how I'll get the most wear. Sad, yet practical!) I made the above collage, which they call a "StyleBook" on the Fashiola. If you didn't know already Fashiola is a Fashion Finder website which make things easier by organizing all the online clothing with product details from the UK's biggest online retailers which you can then search by colour, price range etc. They take all the hard work out of online shopping with a one dimension size chart which only show clothes that are available that day. (Because how annoying is it to find the last pair of Gucci Mary Jane's in your size on Net A Porter to realise they're out of stock!?) One of the best parts about this fashion finder app is that all current discount codes appear at the top of each page, per retailer. I can feel a purchase coming on..

The perfect tool to shop online, I say!

GO FASTER STRIPES, IN PARIS

Dressing down isn't just limited to jeans and a tshirt, although I have to admit that is my go-to when comfort is my main priority. During my time in Paris for Fashion Week a lot of site-seeing went down, it was my first trip to France first of all so something with comfort in mind was key as well as being chic in the fashion capital.

These wide leg side stripe trousers are the perfect way to inject a pop of colour into a monochrome ensemble. If, like me you find it hard to think outside of black, white and grey then adding colour in form of your accessories like my red neckerchief is the perfect way to go.

What I'm Wearing: Missguided Tee, Topshop Coat, Asos Trousers, Superga Trainers, Chanel Bag, Asos Neckerchief and Celine Sunglasses.

BLACK FOR AW

As the weather gets cooler I like to start experiementing with my looks for the new season, I don't want to jump straight in with a coat, scarf, hat and gloves! (Although the thought of chic layering does get me excited!) There is something I just love about dressing in cold temperatures.) Leather jackets are my go-to during this transitional period as they're so easy to wear and super versatile; as of late I've loved wearing them on top of a knitted dress with my Classic UGG boots.

As we edge nearer towards Winter I'll be swapping bare legs for black jeans which I'll tuck into my UGG boots and wrap up in a cosy oversized scarf.

I am wearing the UGG Classic Short boot in black. Shop the style here.

MISSGUIDED DENIM IN PARIS

If you were not already aware, I've spent the past couple of days in Paris for Fashion Week! Aswell as attending a handful of shows, presentations and a party or two, site-seeing was on my to-do list. I've never actually been on a city break, ever so packing for a Country where the temperature is exactly the same as here in the UK was a strange one. My bikinis and kaftans were replaced with flats, coats and lots of layers.

This outfit is what I sported for a day of site-seeing. (I've never been to Paris before so trainers and a comfy attire were essential!) I picked up a pair of black denim flares and cropped raw hem denim jacket from the new Missguided denim collection last week so of course they accompanied me on my trip. Missguided are a retailer I love, I love they are affordable, their items are on trend and most of all we can easily make them look expensive!

What I'm Wearing: Missguided Jacket, Missguided Top, Missguided Flares, Superga Trainers, Chanel Bag and Celine Sunglasses
