NASTGAL

If you own an Ebay account of you're a lover of Vintage you'll know the brand I'm talking about when I say "NastyGal" Today, they've launched in the UK and carry thier own label of fashion forward clothing and accessories.

If you follow me on Instagram you'll know I've got a massive craving for anything checkered at the moment, in particular checkered blazers and today it's no different. I love the pattern of this blazer, the different sized checks and the detailing in the black buttons and button holes.

Straight leg jeans are a massive thing for me at the moment. Gone are the days of the skinny, in my wardrobe they've been massively outwayed by the straight. What's different about this pair is the two tone, the frayed hem and not forgetting the O-Ring zip. How perfect do they look paired with a white ankle boot? I've been looking to get my hands on a pair of a while now, and I think I've bagged myself THE pair.

FASHION WEEK HAIR TREND

There's nothing I love more than Fashion Week, putting on my favourite fashionable clobber, taking in the street style and witnessing the shows first hand. A show in particular I loved was Shrimps. For Spring-Summer 2018, Shrimps designer Hannah Weiland combined Italian romance with British gardens.  The collection showcased Weiland’s signature faux fur coats in acidic green along with whimsical ruffles in pastel hues of pinks, blues and yellow, combined with pops of neon and sparkles.

I've teamed up with TONI & GUY to re-create the hair look seen at the Shrimps SS18 Presentation, which were reminiscent of a girl hard at work in a rural British garden, embracing her textures or opting for sleek modern ponytails.

STEP 1
Is all about creating texture! I run a small amount of the TONI&GUY Volume Plumping Mousse through damp, towel dried hair. Then using a hair dryer and my fingers I rough dry my hair.

STEP 2
Once we’ve got the texture, I used a bristle brush to create a low pony tail at the nape of my neck. Secure with a hair tie, or use a small amount of hair from the pony and wrap around to disguise the hair tie. I like to use a small amount of the TONI&GUY Matt Texture Dry Shampoo for a more lived-in undone look.

STEP 3
I’ve teased hair around the crown of my head to create a softer more undone style. For a more defined look around your face I’ve pulled out a couple of pieces of hair around my face and used a medium size wand to curl. Finishing off with TONI&GUY Tousled Texture Creative Hairspray to set everything in place.

WHAT I WORE DURING LONDON FASHION WEEK

I can't quiet believe how quickly London Fashion Week has approached us this Season let along Autumn, the Season itself. As we're taken aback by tiered maxi dresses and hand painted florals we're slowly gearing up for a lesson in layering as the Weather starts to get colder. Nether-the-less Fashion Week it's something we highly antispiate and I throughly enjoy crafting ideas for the warmer climates.
The Clothes

I love to plan my outfits. I'm a proper planner in the respect that I like to be organised, have every outfit planned for every single day laid out the night before so that when I go to bed I know my bedroom / hotel room won't be swimming in clothes come morning.

If you're a regular follower of my Instagram account you'll know I've been pretty obsessed with anything checked at the moment, in particular the blazer-I've racked up an impressive collection these past few weeks. I just love how they look when worn with a slogan tee and distressed jean.

Chunky knitwear is something I'm slowly starting the collect. I know we're well into September now and therefore should be fully embracing those knitted garments!

The Accessories

Well it's Fashion Week after all, so the accessories have got to be statement.

To make sure I'm on time for each show and presentation I can't leave without a watch. What better to grace my wrist over fashion month than a timeless Gucci watch from The Watch Gallery. With a black statement lizard strap, an intricate moonlit scene with a beautiful array of vibrant planets and shooting stars this peice adds a sutble hint of colour to my cuffs.

I'm a big fan of mixing my jewellery tones, whether it be gold and silver or adding in a hint of rose gold to the mix! At the moment I'm loving layering dainty gold necklaces together.

Hair and Makeup

The way I apply my makeup and style my hair for Fashion Week never really differs to "day to day me." Apart from the addition of a red lip..

Although I felt so inspired to try different looks and techniques this season to apply going forward. At Roberta Einer S/S18 the head stylist created effortless, Californian skater girl styles that embraced natural texture. (This is something that is so simple and so easy for me to achieve at home using a volumizing tonic for extra texture at the roots!)

FESTIVAL LOOKBOOK

2017 has been a pretty good year for me, so far it's been the year of the "first's." So far, I've managed to pass my driving test and treat myself to my very first car, I've become a first time buyer and bought a house with my boyfriend, and lastly I'm attending my very first festival-V Festival!

I'm attending this year's V fest with the footwear brand, Rocket Dog. I've been aware of the brand for years now-I'm sure to the point that my very first pair of school shoes were from the brand! With this in mind I thought what better way to re-introduce the brand to you by putting together three of my favourite pairs of shoes in three different outfits to show you how I'm thinking of wearing them to this years festival.

"Magic Canvas Trainers"
I'm an avid trainer lover, mainly because they're so verstaile and super comfy-this pair are exactly that. The small platform gives me alittle bit of extra height and makes my legs look that couple of cm's longer. I'll be wearing my white canvas sneakers with a cute floral tea dress and picnic basket!

"Rainy Hi-Tops"
A welly is an absolute must at a festival, especially with the awful hit and miss weather we seem to be experiencing as of late. These black rubber hi-tops look perfect worn with a midi length wrap dress, the added addition of a khaki military jacket and straw bag give off an ultimate festival vibe.

"Camilla Chelsea Boot"
Lastly, the Chelsea boot. I'm bound to be wearing some kind of denim over the weekend-whether it be a pair of high waisted cut offs or a frayed pair of straight leg jeans, these ankle boots will go with practically everything I'm planning on taking!

What I'm Wearing

Tea Dress - Missguided
Picnic Bag - Topshop
Trainers - Rocket Dog
Polka Dot Dress - H&M
Khaki Jacket - French Connection
Wellies - Rocket Dog
White Tee - ASOS
Cami - ASOS
Bucket Bag - Meli Melo
Chelsea Boots - Rocket Dog.

SUMMER SUN WITH ASOS

I'm always scouring the internet as soon as I see a slight change in Weather. It's sunny outside, I'll be searching for that floral tea dress. Overcast? The perfect leather jacket to keep the chill at bay. The same can be said pre-holiday because lets face it, it's not a holiday without a splurge on the old wardrobe! This year I've got dates in the dairy for a couple of mini breaks here and there but as I'm yet to decide on destinations I've been slowly stocking up on my Summer Wardrobe in the meantime.

My first pit stop is always ASOS - I just love to browse the "New In" page at the 200+ new items landed that day. ASOS have always been a favourite of mine, mainly down to the wide breathd of product offerings aswell as thier next day delivery service and free returns.

There are three favourites I've added to my Summer collection recently so I thought I'd show you what they are and how I'm styling them this season.

First up the gingham skirt. Gingham as been massive for quiet some time now and I just haven't jumped on the bandwagon until recently. I'm not one for wearing a massive amount of colour so you wouldn't catch me in a full on yellow skirt but this one is such a gorgeous mustard colour and combined with the white check it's totally up my street. (The wrap style and asymmetric hem is a total leg lengthener!) A basic white tee makes this outfit super relaxed, adding a straw bag and pair of black sandals gives a proper beach vibe and pulls the whole look together.

The white blouse. This blouse is going to be one of those versatile pieces. I can see myself wearing it with a pair of light washed straight cut jeans, a frayed hemmed mini skirt and also worn with a pair of high waisted denim shorts. I'm not sure what I love more; the peasant cut, the sheer material, or the mix of feminine lace? As the weather has been very unpredictable lately a pair of straight cut jeans is the more appropriate attire considering we're dipping in and out of pure sunshine and overcast afternoons. A pair of gold woven mules and bamboo hoop earrings really help to bring out the gold detailing in the eyelets of the blouse.

And finally, the linen sundress. This is defiantly my favourite piece I've styled so far, I can't wait for the weather to pick up so I can wear this dress and show it off to it's full potential. First of all, the cut. The cut is very cami-like which I am loving at the moment! The front cuts into a V neck at the front, leaving the back very straight across - another favourite of mine. The best part of this dress is the tie back, it really pulls your waist in and shows off the smallest part. I've worn this dress with a pair of tan sandals but I can also see this worn with a pair of vans and denim jacket!
