THE WELLESLEY

Living in Brighton has it's perks, we're situated by the sea so I get to spend my Summer weekends baking in the glorious sunshine.. when the sun shines that is. And being only an hour on the train into London makes Brighton the perfect commuters hot spot! I commute into the Capital two days a week spending the other five working from the comfort of my own home - I see London as a treat, and a chance to brunch with my favourite brands.

Last week I had the pleasure of staying in The Wellesley, a beautifully restored 1920's Townhouse hotel situated over looking one of my favourite places in London, Hyde Park Corner. It was the perfect opportunity to properly indulge, enjoy an amazing three course meal and relax not thinking about the train journey I'd usually have to endure the same day.

Being greeted with a One Bedroom Suite after a long day of back to back meetings is exactly what I needed. Taking in as much as possible before I couldn't possibly drag myself away from the King bed(room). As soon as I check into any Hotel the first thing I do is kick off my shoes, find the bathrobe and slip into a pair of slippers!

Each room is beautifully decorated with contemporary touches and elegant artwork dressed the walls. I couldn't get to grips with the amount of space I had to play with over the next 24 hours, I really didn't feel as though I was staying in a Hotel. Well, up until our butler knocked to introduce himeself, My favourite room? Need you even ask? The marbled en suite. I actually had a look online at the Hotel before staying and I squealed in utter delight at the corchia marbled bathroom. (Sad I know.. but I had photo opportunities in mind.)

The generous bathroom boasted an assortment of luxurious. Aswell as the bath, shower and double vanity the bathroom also included a wall mounted TV, perfectly placed in front of the tub where I lathered myself up in the complimentary Hermès Eau d’Orange Verte toiletries and remained until dinner.

My boyfriend on the other hand wasn't taken a back by the marbled ensuite like I was, his interest's lied in the Sky Sports channel and the Courtersy Rolls Royce drop off service. I'm no car fanatic (or sports fan for that matter) but I was a little giddy inside knowing we could shun a black cab for a luxorious ride that evening!

We dinned in the intimate Oval restuarant that evening. The atmosphere was just amazing. We sat between courses taking in the atmosphere, listening to the live music being sung from the Jazz lounge whilst sipping on fine wines tucking into the most beautifully plated Italian dishes I've ever tasted.

Thank you to The Wellesley for making my stay in London incredible.

SMOOTH SLEEK PONY WITH TONI & GUY

My style is very laid back, from the clothes I wear down to how I achieve my hair and make up on a daily basis - minimal effort is required and that’s exactly how I like everything to look. I’m either an up or a down kind of girl, sometimes I’ll experiment with a top knot but that’s as far as my hair styles go. Right now I’m such a fan of a sleek pony, it’s super easy to create and especially as it lets your outfit do the talking from the hair down.

If you’d like to see how I create a sleek pony with only a small amount of steps and minimal effort required then you’re in luck! I’ve collaborated with TONI&GUY to show you exactly that.

Step One - Prep

There is no real skill to a pony tail, it’s all in the prep! We want to start off with smooth tresses, so I like to use a shampoo to smooth and cleanse my dry and somewhat unruly hair. The TONI&GUY Smooth Definition Shampoo is great at nourishing my hair making it so much more manageable and easier to style later on. I like to give my hair a treat every now and then with a treatment mask. This TONI&GUY Smooth Definition Mask is enriched with keratin which is perfect for my dry hair bringing it back to life, taming flyaway and restoring my hair’s silkiness. Smooth this onto wet hair and leave for 3-5 minutes before rinsing.

Step Two - Heat

Post shower I apply a small amount of TONI&GUY Heat Protection Mist before I blow dry my hair all over with a paddle brush paying attention to the roots and ends. Once dry I go in with my straighteners to smooth out any kinks giving a real straight and sleek look. A gloss serum works perfectly through the ends of my straightened hair! The TONI&GUY Shine Gloss Serum controls frizz and flyaway for ultra smooth shine. 2-3 pumps of serum between your palms is the perfect amount applied through lengths and ends.

Step Three - Product

If you skipped Step One and you’ve got day 2 hair then the TONI&GUY Smooth Perfect Tease Dry Shampoo if perfect for adding texture and volume to flat and fine hair, or to make freshly washed hair more manageable. I apply the dry shampoo directly to the roots and work through with my fingers.

Step Four - Finish

I like to use a brush to create the sleek pony, brushing through from root to end and a tie the hair in a low tail at the nape of my neck. I like to finish off with a brushable hairspray, I like my hairspray to have a certain amount of hold but still give the movement I’m after and this TONI&GUY Flawless Sleek Creation Hairspray is perfect. I spray directly onto the root (paying particular attention to my baby hair!) I also like to spray directly onto my brush and brush through me ends.

MODERN AND CLASSIC

Shopping for Spring Summer accessories can be difficult,  do we want to follow the trends and invest in the latest fashion or do we want a classic and timeless style we're able to wear over and over again? If the answer is both then you'll want to check out Russell and Bromley's new SS17 collection which aims to combine a modern spin on classics. I've styled my favourite pairs from the new season collection to give you some inspiration when dressing for the season ahead.

Dressing for the new Season of course means flashing a little leg and these neutral heels did wonders to lengthen my small frame. I'm really enjoying a neutral palette at the moment so a pairing of whites, creams and browns are perfect with this outfit. Although this outfit is plain in colouring the lace up detail of the skirt and pattern of the heritage blazer pulls everything together!

It's rare that I wear a heel, unless it's attached to an ankle boot! So to get the most wear out of my heels they have to be  1; Classic - This pair has a pointed toe making them a really nice timeless style which I'll wear again and again. 2. Neutral - These are a beautiful neutral suede colour meaning they'll go with my entire wardrobe. 3 Comfortable - Block heel's which are super comfy and with a heel height of only 6.5cm I'm guaranteed to last all day or evening in them.

Whether it's an item of clothing or an accessory in shoe or bag form it's got to be adorned with patches, logo's and/or text. These Russell & Bromley trainers fit exactly that on trend memo we're looking for; they're both classic in their style and fit yet accessorised with colourful glittering applique patches - that's a tick for comfort and fashion. (Plus they're crafted in Italy from the softest leather keeping blisters at bay.)

If you're looking for a double whammy with the athlesuire trend then this back pack is the stylish way to do so - It still combines the sports vibe with the design and shape yet the beautiful crafted leather still keeps it classic.

Trainers for me call for denim, they're a match made in heaven in my eyes. But, if denim isn't your thing and you're looking to put a different spin on this pair they'd look incredible worn with your leather back pack, black tailored boyfriend jacket and matching cigarette pants - rolled up at the ankle for extra fashion points.

Welcome to the charming town of Pollensa!
Last week I was lucky enough to travel to Mallorca with Hush. If you're not already familiar with the brand then you'll want to, now. There aim is to deliver comofrtable fashion but not at the expense of style. For women of all ages who like fashion but are not a slave to it. Hands up if you're up for looking good but don't want to spend hours slaving? Then Hush is right up your street.

Our hotel, Cala Sant Vicenç was Idyllically in the picturesque village of Cala Sant Vincenç situated on the northern coast line of Mallorca in one of the most beautiful area of the Island. This boutique hotel accommodates 38 guest rooms with Mediterranean hand crafted interiors opening onto private balconies boasting views over the landscape gardens. Take it from me, the views are breathtaking!

5 minutes walk towards the coast and you'll find yourself admiring the small bays and tranquil beaches of Cala Barques and Cala Molins. The dramatic rocks and cliff faces make the most beautiful backdrops for photos-I could of spent hours here shooting in the turquoise waters. 20 minutes cycling and you'll find yourself nestled in the beautiful old town of Puerto Pollensa. I'd recommend visiting the market on Sundays and Wednesday to have a nosey at the local produce, sip on sangria or to pick up a straw bag or two.
