Lake Como. Hands down the most beautiful, luxurious, scenic and tranquil place I've ever visited.
Having spent a long October weekend away from a dull and dreary London, and greeted with open arms by idyllic shorelines, warmer climates and beautifully manicured lawns it's safe to say I'm already planning my return come Summer
Staying at the Casta Diva Resort & SPA on a #TBPAbroad trip with The Blogger Programme was pure luxury, boasting lake views for miles, every
where I looked was breathtaking - I found myself snapping away at every
opportunity!
The
resort consists of nine villas and 73 rooms Located on the east side of
Lake Como in the village of Blevio, just outside of Milan Airport. (I'm
thinking of taking a pit stop post Fashion Week..)
Staying in one of the Junior Suites was heavenly. The view, the space and not to mention the decor. (Think contemporary furniture featuring gold and platinum colours!) Marble flooring swept the main lobby, up onto a marble staircase which housed the SPA; Indoor heated pool and jacuzzi, Turkish baths, not to mention the 4 SPA Suites inspired by the 4 elements; Fire, Water, Air and Earth.
The best way to discover Lake Como? By boat. If you want to admire the beauty of Lake Como, its unspoilt landscapes, its banks filled with luxuriant vegetation, sumptuous villas
and small villages of rare beauty where tourism, history, art and
nature combine harmoniously, the ideal solution is to do it directly
from the water.
The tiny historic town of Bellagio is the perfect way to spend an afternoon with its picturesque views, cobbled lanes filled with small boutiques and arrays of restaurants and bars.
The “Orangerie” lake restaurant, as well as the entire dining proposals of the resort, are managed by
Resident Chef Massimiliano Mandozzi and his brigade, with important experiences in the most renowned
restaurants in Europe and Italy. Catering to both individual guests and
events, allowing CastaDiva to offer proposals of “haute cuisine”. The restaurant features a beautiful lake terrace and veranda for “al fresco” meals. Eating here every morning was idyllic! Watching the sun set on the lake terrace watching the sun set wasn't a bad way to spend my evening, either.
