TALKING CHRISTMAS WITH DOROTHY PERKINS

It's not every day one of your favourite brands travels down to your hometown to catch up. So, when the Dorothy Perkins team jumped on the train down to visit Brighton I thought I'd give them a tour around town and show them how I'll be wearing my favourite pieces during the run up to Christmas. (Yes, it is officially time for the C word!)

This is the kind of outfit I like to wear whilst shopping-It's both on trend and comfortable for a day of Christmas shopping. I love to mix my textures, it's especially important when you're wearing a monochrome head-to toe-look. The faux fur and high shine of this pvc jacket look amazing together-who would think this piece is high street!? A white shirt should be a staple in anyone's wardrobe as they're super versatile, while the leather loafers and sequin bag polish the look off perfectly.

Vogue reported from the runway back in February that the puffa jacket trend would be huge and much like a snowball effect once our favourite influencers sport a certain style we all tend to take a liking. This khaki puffa jacket is so incredibly warm, it does exactly what you'd expect! This outfit is perfect to roam around the Christmas Markets keeping you super cosy with this burgundy faux fur hood. I tend to layer myself up in knitwear and when I know I'm spending the majority of my day outside!

and paired with a patent ankle boot. Cosy and chic!
This season I'm going to add a bit of velvet to my outfits-you’re guaranteed to be on trend. This look is all about the skirt - I've layered on an oversized knit on top and paired with a patent ankle boot- would you just look at that heel? I'd wear this kind of outfit out for lunch with friends, but as he temperatures start to drop I'd introduce a black tight. Cosy and chic!
