SUMMER ESSENTIALS

Summer holidays are well under way! Whether you're planning a city break with hand luggage or an a long haul two weeker.. packing is key. Packing for me is SO hard, I'm such an over packer! I'm a "what if" kind of girl when it comes down to narrowing down my essentials for a trip. The black and white of it is, it's all down to the country you're visiting, the weather you'll experiencing and the types of activities you'll be doing whilst away.

With a little help from French Connection I'm showing you my Summer essentials.

The Suitcase. It's all down to the duration of your trip. Taking a weekend off to explore the gorgeous city of Lisbon? Then all you'll need is hand luggage - this trunk suitcase is the perfect cabin friendly size constructed from cotton canvas trimmed leather. The interior is fully lined and compartmentalised for seamless organisation, whilst the cabin-friendly case's exterior is detailed with combination padlocks with magnetic clips, ensuring supreme security and longevity. Carry it up the stairs via the top or side grab handle, or pull the extendable handle, effortlessly wheeling it on its 360-degree spinning wheels for ease of movement.

The Weather. The temperature of the destination your visiting goes without saying. If you're visiting somewhere long haul like Mexico take into consideration the chance of rainfall. I've visited during rainy season and didn't anticipate the likely hood of a sudden downpour! SPF protection is a must, I like to use a really high factor when I'm out in the sun so 50 is a bare minimum. Remember to avoid the sun between the strongest hours of 11-3. I also like to protect my eyes with a good pair of sunglasses, and shade my face with a trusty straw hat.

The Country. I'm sure you are all like me when I say I do alot of research up until the day of my holiday. (I'm visiting review websites up until the day I go to check out what others think of the hotel I've booked!) One thing which is really important is the Culture. In some countries you have to cover up your shoulders and the tops of your legs when you're outside of your hotel - If you're visiting Dubai then is is crucial. Make sure you've included a lightweight jacket - this cotton utility jacket is perfect for chilly evenings. This embroidered maxi dress is longer in length with full length sleeves which is perfect for venturing outside the hotel.
