THE WELLESLEY

Living in Brighton has it's perks, we're situated by the sea so I get to spend my Summer weekends baking in the glorious sunshine.. when the sun shines that is. And being only an hour on the train into London makes Brighton the perfect commuters hot spot! I commute into the Capital two days a week spending the other five working from the comfort of my own home - I see London as a treat, and a chance to brunch with my favourite brands.

Last week I had the pleasure of staying in The Wellesley, a beautifully restored 1920's Townhouse hotel situated over looking one of my favourite places in London, Hyde Park Corner. It was the perfect opportunity to properly indulge, enjoy an amazing three course meal and relax not thinking about the train journey I'd usually have to endure the same day.

Being greeted with a One Bedroom Suite after a long day of back to back meetings is exactly what I needed. Taking in as much as possible before I couldn't possibly drag myself away from the King bed(room). As soon as I check into any Hotel the first thing I do is kick off my shoes, find the bathrobe and slip into a pair of slippers!

Each room is beautifully decorated with contemporary touches and elegant artwork dressed the walls. I couldn't get to grips with the amount of space I had to play with over the next 24 hours, I really didn't feel as though I was staying in a Hotel. Well, up until our butler knocked to introduce himeself, My favourite room? Need you even ask? The marbled en suite. I actually had a look online at the Hotel before staying and I squealed in utter delight at the corchia marbled bathroom. (Sad I know.. but I had photo opportunities in mind.)

The generous bathroom boasted an assortment of luxurious. Aswell as the bath, shower and double vanity the bathroom also included a wall mounted TV, perfectly placed in front of the tub where I lathered myself up in the complimentary Hermès Eau d’Orange Verte toiletries and remained until dinner.

My boyfriend on the other hand wasn't taken a back by the marbled ensuite like I was, his interest's lied in the Sky Sports channel and the Courtersy Rolls Royce drop off service. I'm no car fanatic (or sports fan for that matter) but I was a little giddy inside knowing we could shun a black cab for a luxorious ride that evening!

We dinned in the intimate Oval restuarant that evening. The atmosphere was just amazing. We sat between courses taking in the atmosphere, listening to the live music being sung from the Jazz lounge whilst sipping on fine wines tucking into the most beautifully plated Italian dishes I've ever tasted.

Thank you to The Wellesley for making my stay in London incredible.

  1. Estee Lauder bronze goddess could be a great perfume for women in 2017. It has some great notes and the ratings and reviews of different fragrance website are just great. Thanks for sharing this post.
